“Education . . . may be described as a development of faculty, not accumulation of words, or as a training of individuals to will rightly and efficiently.” — Swami Vivekananda
Have you noticed how uncouth some people are despite holding double degrees from prestigious institutes? They litter on the street, talk down to others, and basically act like jerks all around. (Ironically, others accept such behavior saying they can do it because they’re educated.)
Real education is not about a fancy certificate. It’s about becoming conscious of how your actions affect you and your surroundings.
Choose to become conscious. A few times each day, check in with yourself like you would with a good friend. Ask: Are my thoughts, words, and actions useful? Are they moving me in the direction of a better person? Am I contributing towards a better world (or at least not making it worse)?
Your circumstances may dictate your current situation, but your level of consciousness dictates who you become.
