The Easiest Thing To Do

When the government introduced GST, it was criticized for its slipshod implementing. When a food-delivery app wanted to introduce a new delivery system, it was torn to shreds. When a person wants to try something new, her friends give her one hundred reasons why it won’t work.

As soon as we even sniff a problem in an untested initiative, we’re all over it like hyenas.

But think about this: The screen you’re using, the car you’re driving, the clothes you love to wear—do you think any of their first-ever versions were faultless? It took them years (probably decades) to reach their current levels.

Rather than criticizing people’s effort, do something meaningful yourself. Pick up a goal, work on it, and put it out there for the world to see. You’ll realize how tough doing is. (If you’re afraid of displaying your work because people will jeer at you, is it fair for you to blast others?)

Doing is tough. Criticizing people who do tough things is easy… probably the easiest thing to do. Choose to do what is tough, for yours and others’ benefit.
