“No human institution is beyond abuse. Would you cook nothing because there are beggars? Would you possess nothing because there are thieves?”
— Swami Vivekananda
When you were learning to walk, did you get discouraged by someone laughing when you fell? If you did, you wouldn’t walk, run, go out and play, or explore the great outdoors. In effect, you would deprive yourself of beautiful experiences because of the fear of someone laughing if you fell.
Likewise, would you never work a job because people get laid off, not eat at a restaurant because there could be a remote chance that the ingredients are not fresh, or take a vacation to Hawaii because earthquakes occur there?
Nothing is fail-proof or judgment-proof. But that shouldn’t stop you from exploring life, from discovering why you have been sent on this planet, and doing it. Remember, even if you never make a mistake because you try nothing new, you will still be judged.
